Allied Semiconductor

1201 Exchange Dr. Richardson, TX 75081

Purchased a machine from Allied on 6/20/2006 and was to be overnight to arrive on 6/21/2006. It didn’t arrive on Thursday the 21st, Friday the 22nd. It arrived on 26th and not working. I drove to Richardson and dropped off the machine for repair.

Called and asked if the machine was ready on 6/30/2006, they said it was ready, brought it back and tried to boot the machine, it wouldn’t boot so they replaced the Hard Drive. Returned to Hurst, Texas and the machine not only wouldn’t boot, but not even a power light on the front. I opened the machine and tested the power supply, it was good, tested the Hard Drive, it was good, the Mother Board was bad.

Called on 7/2/2006, no answer, called back on 7/3/2006 no answer again. Called on 7/5/2006 took computer back to them again. Tried calling back but each time I was hung up on.

Called back on 7/5/2006 the put me on hold and after 15sec it hung up on me again. Finally (because I had a customer that wanted his machine) I purchased a machine from a company in the Ft Worth area so I could fill the Order to customer.

Called Visa to stop payment on the $1200.00 charge. They told me they could’t stop the charge since Debit cards don’t have the same options as a Credit Card has. They paid the charge. Allied Semiconductor has the Computer, all the parts, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, etc. and the Money!

Don’t be ignorant of the fact VISA CAN SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY AND YOU DON’T HAVE ANY RECOURSE.

You may want to find a company to purchase computers from other than Allied Semiconductor in Richardson. They won’t refund your money when they can’t repair a system. We have documentation on the purchase of the machine, Allied didn’t give me a receipt for the machine when I returned it.

Anyone using a Debit Card for payment on large items such as Computers, Monitors, or other hardware, you won’t have the rights to get your money back like you would with a Credit Card. Just remember I have warned you. Anyone wanting to speak with me on this issue can email me at bill@computer-repair.net, whitburn@gmail.com or w_whitburn@yahoo.com.
